SCHOOLS
Forest Lake offers adventure programmes to both primary and high schools, varying from a day visit to 5 days. A proposed adventure program, meal planner and activity schedule is forwarded to you for perusal. Our staff have international experience with Outward Bound, USA Summer Camp and PGL.We also draw staff from GAP Year International.
Our reputation has been built on excellent food, safe activities and friendly staff.
 
Types of courses
 
Day adventure
Ideally suited to schools from Pietermaritzburg and surrounds. Arrive at 08h30 and enjoy limited adventure activities which end at 16h00, affording you an introductory adventure experience.
 
Overnight
A 24 hour stay which includes three meals and extended activities over two adventure sessions.
 
Two nights/three days
Our most popular programme length which offers a 48 hour stay, six meals and four activity sessions. Activity duration is longer and options more varied. An opportunity to camp out and cover a wetland study is also available.
 
Three nights/four days
Encompasses all of the activities and the opportunity to take on the " Around the dam Adventure " program (high school only) which allows groups to navigate their way using different forms of adventure mobility. Ideal for leadership and adventure skills application.
 
Four nights/five days
The ultimate mobile adventure which includes all the adventure activities as well as an expedition in the Karkloof involving map reading and an optional extra, Karkloof canopy tour.
 
Lesotho overland
Suited to grade 11 and above, we have a variety of adventure options which offers the very best of adventure tourism at attractive costs for youth adventure. Explore the Sani Pass, Katse or Mohale Dam, pony trekking, hike to the highest point in southern Africa, abseil remote cliffs, mountain biking and a paddle on the Senqu River. Interact with Basotho culture and patirticipate in community projects. Minimum period is a weekend.
